What Information We Collect

When you submit a job request, apply through Join As a Tradie, or use our contact form, we may collect:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Suburb or address relevant to the job
• Job details, trade category, and urgency
• For tradies: ABN, trade licence details, and coverage area
• Basic website usage data (pages viewed, browser type) via standard hosting and analytics logs

We only collect what's needed to make a match — no unrelated demographic profiling, no data purchased from third-party brokers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Match customer job requests with an appropriate, approved tradie
• Verify tradie ABN and trade details as part of our approval process
• Respond to enquiries submitted through Contact Us
• Send confirmation messages, such as our customer thank you notifications
• Improve the website and how the matching process works

We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not use your details for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Sharing With Tradies and Third Parties

When your job is matched, the relevant contact and job details are shared with the one tradie assigned to it — not broadcast to every tradie in the network. That tradie then contacts you directly to arrange the work, consistent with how our matching process operates.

We also share limited information with trusted service providers who help us run the platform, including our website host, form and webhook providers, and our ABN lookup tool used to verify tradie registrations. These providers only receive what's necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid request from a government or law enforcement body.

Cookies and Website Data

This website may use basic cookies for functionality, such as remembering form progress or session data. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising tracking. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some website features may not work as intended if you do.
